Sony Alpha Blog Reviewed the Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN and found it to have very good sharpness from the centre to the edges, it's light, compact and has an excellent build quality. It has a 12cm minimum focusing distance allow it to function as a macro lens.

Autofocus response is excellent and focus breathing in minimal. At 619 Euros and just 225 grams of half a pound it offer good value, but add in weather resistance and its hard not to consider the Sigma 17mm prime.
