Map Camera's data indicates that the Nikon Z8 claimed the coveted title of the best-selling camera in 2023, despite showing up half way through the year, as it started shipping on May 25. Contrasting this, Canon's presence in the top 10 is limited to a single model, namely the Canon EOS R6 Mark II, introduced to the market in November 2022.
The disparity in the rankings from Map Camera underscores a more varied representation of the camera market compared to Yodobashi's figures.
