On October 5, Sigma announced the development of a new 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN OS Sports lens for both the L-mount and Sony's E-mount. At the time not much was known specifications wise for the new lens. That has now changed as Sigma has released the specifications.

The first thing you're going to notice about this lens is the weight, it's 300g heavier for the E-Mount when compared to the Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS II. However, the Sony runs about $2800 USD and we expect the Sigma to come in at around half that. The current Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 DG OS HSM is $1500 USD or so.
