Canon announced the EOS R50 along side the EOS R8 in February, 2023. The R8 is a full frame camera priced at $1,499, while the EOS R50 is priced at $679, the perfect price point for those wanting a better experience than a smartphone, but does the camera deliver, or has Canon disabled the features to make it a waste of money?
Christopher Frost says that the Canon EOS R50 mirrorless camera is not only refreshingly affordable, but highly capable with a wide range of features including some computational capabilities found in smart phones. Christopher says that the EOS R50 is “excellent in my view great. Huge fun. Easily canon's best low budget camera for years.”
