Canon started shipping EOS R6 Mark II cameras with firmware 1.1.4 according to Canon Rumours who has picks showing us the applied update. It is un known what the update fixes but that the version number updates the last digit informs us that it is a minor update most likely providing fixes rather than enhancements.
The firmware update is not yet available for download at Canon portals world wide. However, it is expected to be available soon.
No mention of the big firmware update for the Canon EOS R5 that has been promised for several months. We expect this update to come sometime before October, 2023. Once the EOS R5 Mark II arrives, the EOS R5 will still get updates, but they will not be creature updates.
