Nikon is offering free repaired to Nikon Z8 customers that are unable to rotate the lens into the locked position on the mount. As the camera is less than two months old, its not surprising the repair would be free, but issuing a press release could mean it is happening to more customers than they would like.
The problems occurs with a specific range of serial numbers, though Nikon is not advertising this range, but will be in contact with those customers who have registered their cameras. Along with the free repair, Nikon will bear the return shipping charge as well.
