The Sony FE 70-200mm is a very popular focal length for wedding and event photographers that can't always get up close. The idea of having a macro capability doesn't immediately come to mind so when Sony Alpha Rumors says that Sony will be announcing a redesigned followup to the 70-200mm f/4.0 G lens and it will have the macro capability. At this point, we don't know the minimum focusing distance.
The lens will also have small dimensions being more compact that the current 70-200mm. Will the lens just be smaller, or will it telescope like the Canon RF100-500, or RF 70-200?
