The Fuji-Film X-T5 features a 40MP backside illuminated (BSI) APS-C sensor, 6.2K video, and price the same as the X-T4, but is it right for you?
The X-T5 video quality is lacking detail and has significant rolling shutter. The X-T4 offers better video capabilities leaving the X-T5 better suited for photographers with its high resolution 40 megapixel sensor, but not all XF lenses will be able to take advantage of this resolution.
Those challenges aside, the X-T5 has very good dynamic range when shooting raw, can shoot up to 15 fps continuous, has IBIS, and subject tracking is effective though it is not nearly as good as Canon and Sony.
If you’re a video shooter, and own the X-T4, you might want to sit this upgrade out. However, if you are a stills shooter, the X-T5 offers a solid upgrade for the same price as the X-T4 when it was released.
