Canon will be releasing at least 4 wide angle L prime lenses in the first half of 2024. The lenses will not all be announced at the same time, but coming over the first 6 months of 2024.
The confirmed lenses include.
- Canon RF 14mm f/1.4L USM
- Canon RF 24mm f/1.4L IS USM
- Canon RF 28mm f/1.4L IS USM
- Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L IS USM
There have been rumours and patents over the years that talk about an RF 35mm f/1.2 instead of f/1.4, but our source is quite certain that the 35mm L prime will be f/1.4 with IS.
There will also be some new technology in one or all of these lenses. What the “new tech” is wasn't disclosed to us yet.
